Last night on BART, after noticing the Dreamgirls ads, I was mentioning to a friend about how awesome Jennifer Hudson performed the song "And I Am Telling You". There have been many recent covers of this song, but none of them truly capture and embellish the emotional beats from the original Jennifer Holliday version. This caused me to play this song on my MP3 player on my way to work today. I ended up looping it the whole way. I began to wonder why I am still able to experience Effie White's heartache after so many listens. It's just that good. On a lighter note, here's my first exposure to the song.
