There's a good example in the article talking about how if you took a family picture, shared it on a photo-sharing site, that picture could be on a cover of a magazine WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION OR ROYALTY PAYMENT FOR IT. If you want to protect your work, you'd have to PAY for it, which makes those corporations money. Paying the corporations for the rights to your own creation? Does this sound right to you? Fuck the almighty dollar.
