Okay, I don't mind it if the person was drunk and this was during the evening or late night when the train doesn't have many riders. But this picture was taken around 8 am, during peak commute hours. Everyone who walked by and tried to sit down turned away with disgust.
He's not even the worst one. There are those who leave newspapers, backpacks, or even their foot on the empty spot next them. If I could take pics of those assholes without drawing attention to myself I would.
